You can initiate bulk imports of clients, projects, tasks, or users if you go to Settings > Import data.

Each import has a template you can download and modify for your needs. Please follow the import format instructions carefully, as it is really important to format your data correctly.

Here you can pick which entity you wish to import:

Import users

You can import the list of other team members so you do not have to add each user to the app individually. You will be able to import their default rates, user roles, and other settings.

If you set 'SendInvite' to 1, the user will receive an invitation email with a link to set their password. Then they can log in and start using the app.

Import Projects

If you do not intend to import time tracked outside of My Hours, we recommend you use the Projects import.

You can add Clients, Task lists, and Tasks to the Projects import file so you don't have to separately import clients or add tasks to the projects later on.

However, if you wish to import Clients with their details (tax information, address, contact details), begin with Clients import first.

Import Clients

If you will be invoicing with My Hours, you need to import the Clients first because this way you can import client details for invoices and avoid adding details later to each client individually.

Once you import your Clients, you can proceed with importing Projects, which will be matched to the correct client by the Client column.

Import Timesheet

If you intend to import past timesheets use the Timesheet import.

This import will create new clients, projects, tasks, and even users if they were not previously created, or simply map time entries to existing clients, projects, tasks, and users.

Import Tasks

With this import, you can import your Task templates. Task templates are useful if you use the same Task list across multiple projects. This way you can add a Task list to a project with a single click.

If you will use the same task list on all your projects, it makes sense to import Tasks first and set the 'AddToFutureProjects' column to 1. This means that the Task will be automatically added to all future projects. If you then proceed with importing Projects, you won't need to input tasks for each project separately.
