This guide explains what’s imported, how the two import modes work, and an important creation rule for Groups.

Note: Groups are created when the first Item exists

Import modes

1) One-time import

Imports the existing Boards, Groups, and Items from Monday at the moment you run it.

2) Ongoing sync (every ~15 minutes)

After the initial import, My Hours keeps bringing in new items from Monday roughly every 15 minutes.

Key behavior: Groups are created when the first Item exists

My Hours creates Task Lists (Groups) only when there is at least one Item (Task) inside that Group in Monday.

  • If a Board has a Group with no Items, that Group will not appear in My Hours yet.

  • As soon as you add the first Item to that Group, My Hours will create the corresponding Task List and place the Task under it on the next sync.

(This fits Monday’s model, Groups primarily exist to hold Items.)

Setup steps

  1. Connect Monday in My Hours.

  2. Open the Configuration tab.

  3. Run Import Boards and Tasks once to bring in what you already have.

  4. Toggle Scheduled import of Boards and Tasks to keep importing new Items every ~15 minutes.

Security & Authentication

How integrations handle authorization:

  • After you connect and authorize any app, My Hours automatically generates an API key for your workspace.

  • This key is required for the integration to run.

  • Data exchange is handled via Paragon, our trusted integration provider.

  • You can disconnect the integration at any time from the Configuration tab (and revoke the API key if needed).
