If you wish that your users always add their hours in real-time, using only the timer ('Start' and 'Stop'), you can enable timer-only mode. This mode will also not allow any manual editing of the start time, end time, or duration. Users will be able to edit other details of their entries (project, task, description, tags, custom fields).

To enable timer-only mode, go to Account settings > Tracking form:

When you enable timer-only mode on the account level, it will be applied to the accounts of all Normal users and Managers. Please note that this mode is always disabled for Administrators, as they have the privilege to edit time logs.

You can disable this mode for individual users by going to their profile in the Users tab:

When the timer-only mode is disabled, users can enter time manually and edit it.
